1979 Burger King Phillies
Hand-painted collectible baseball card
If you ordered a Whopper in Philly in 1979, chances are you got it our way... with a side of Michael Jack Schmidt. From 1977-87, Topps issued a small handful of team promotional sets for Burger King, including the Yankees ('77-79), Astros ('78), Rangers ('78), Tigers ('78), Phillies ('79-80), Braves ('82) and Indians ('82).
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint gum stick art directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
Here's what you'll receive with this order
- My original hand-painted gum onto a baseball card.
- Each collector card is paint-marked with the number produced.
- These art cards are protected inside an Ultra Pro One Touch magnetic card holder... customized with my matching Rosen signature label.
I'm maintaining a growing checklist of the cards I've painted for your reference. It details what cards are available for purchase, and which ones are owned by collectors. Collectors can reference my complete checklist.
