Kirby Puckett Game 6 Walk-Off
Hand-painted collectible baseball card
One of the most memorable home run calls of all-time. Game 6 of the 1991 World Series was tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 11th, when Charlie Leibrandt served up a walk-off homer to Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett. Televised on CBS, Jack Buck called the shot by saying... “And we’ll see you tomorrow night!"
The next evening, Minnesota Twins beat the Braves 1-0 (10 innings) in Game 7 to win their 2nd World Series in 5 years. Three games in the series went to extra innings, and five of the games were decided by 1-run.
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint gum stick art directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
