Hand-painted collectible baseball card

In the mid-80's... Eric Davis was one of baseball's most exciting players to watch... blessed with excellent speed, tremendous power, and fine leather. In '87, Davis became the first player to hit three grand slams in a month, and the first to hit 30 HR and steal 50 bases in a the same season..

Eric The Red

ESPN's Chris Berman, known for attaching nicknames to players during highlights, began calling Davis, "Eric the Red." The name was a spin from the famous red-bearded Icelandic Norse explorer.

Starter

In the 80's... Starter jackets were all the rage. Davis is photographed on this card with the Starter logo charm hanging from the zipper chain... in a rather aggressive pose. As if he's saying, "I'm starting in center today and batting third. Anyone got a problem with it?"

Ribbon

In the spring of 1997, Eric was diagnosed with colon cancer and left the Orioles to undergo treatment. He returned to the team in September, and although his battle left him tired, he hit a game-winning home run the in '97 ALCS.

About my collector cards

After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint bubble gum directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.

Here's what you'll receive with this order

  • My original hand-painted gum onto a baseball card.
  • Each collector card is paint-marked with it's edition number.
  • These art cards are protected inside an Ultra Pro One Touch magnetic card holder... customized with my matching Rosen signature label.
  • I do not sign these cards by request. However, your package will include bonus items personally autographed by me.

Expected delivery time for pre-orders

Are you purchasing a pre-order? My pre-order listings are for card art that has not been painted yet. In most cases, I already have the card in stock to paint on, and will create your artwork within a few days of your purchase. Thanks for your patience.
