Hand-painted collectible baseball card

Rickey Henderson is the Base Stealing GOAT, refers to himself in the 3rd person, and has one of the most beautiful signatures in baseball history. I've painted a series of bubble gum cards for the Man of Steal.

1981 Topps #4 SB Leaders - 1/1 Comic
The 1980 Stolen Base Leaders highlights Rickey at the top of the list with 100 SB that year. The gum I painted is the base-swiping comic found on the back of his '81 Topps Card No. 261

1982 Topps #610 Rickey Henderson - 1/1 Sig
Sometimes less is more. Rickey's signature is my personal favorite. It's among the most aesthetic and iconic in the hobby. So, here it is, centered in gum on the card that photographs him ready to swipe a bag.

1983 Topps #2 Record Breaker - 1/1 Rickey
Rickey stole a major league record 130 bases in 1982. The painted gum on this card is the comic text from the back of Rickey's 1980 Rookie Card, when he stole 7 bases in one game at Modesto.

1985 Topps #115 Rickey Henderson - 1/1 GOAT
He's simply the greatest base stealer of all-time... with a record 1,406 steals. I gave him the G.O.A.T. treatment on this card, mirroring the design from the front.

1987 Topps #311 Turn Back the Clock - 1/1 Sig
In '87, Topps Turned Back the Clock with their wood-grain design... and also inserted a subset to celebrate some of their iconic cards. The '82 Rickey is a classic! Since Rickey likes to talk about Rickey in the 3rd person... I've multiplied the first name in his signature.

1989 Topps #380 Rickey Henderson - 1/1 SI
Rickey began '89 on the Yanks & was traded back to the A's that summer, as they loaded up for their World Series run. Sports Illustrated featured him on the cover during their playoff series vs Toronto.

About my collector cards

After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint bubble gum directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.

Here's what you'll receive with this order

  • My original hand-painted gum onto a baseball card.
  • Each collector card is paint-marked with it's edition number.
  • These art cards are protected inside an Ultra Pro One Touch magnetic card holder... customized with my matching Rosen signature label.
  • I do not sign these cards by request. However, your package will include bonus items personally autographed by me.

Expected delivery time for pre-orders

Are you purchasing a pre-order? My pre-order listings are for card art that has not been painted yet. In most cases, I already have the card in stock to paint on, and will create your artwork within a few days of your purchase. Thanks for your patience.
