Handmade petri dish

It's almost impossible to think of former Tigers pitcher Dan Petry, without imagining a petri dish in your head. I love a good pun, and this piece of art was simply irresistible to make. 

I've used design elements from the back of his 1985 Topps card #435 (his lone All-Star season) to create these glass petri dishes. Made with white vinyl and orange acrylic paints to represent the Tigers.
