Hand-painted collectible baseball card
Dave Kingman (6'6") was a tower of power on the diamond. He earned the nickname King Kong for his mammoth home runs... the longest which measured at 530 feet. The 3x All-Star led the National League in homers twice (1979 & '82), finishing with 442 on his career. He barrelled up a long ball once every 15.11 at-bats.... good for 14th best in MLB history.
Donkey Kong was released by Nintendo in 1981, and reigned throughout the decade. I found the Kong reference, initials DK, and the barrel to be a fitting tribute for Kingman.
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint gum stick art directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
Here's what you'll receive with this order
- My original hand-painted gum onto a jumbo-sized 5x7 baseball card.
- Each jumbo collector card is paint-marked with it's edition number.
- Unlike my standard-sized gum cards, these jumbos are signed by me (next to the edition number).
- These art cards are protected inside an acrylic magnetic desktop frame... customized with my matching Rosen signature label.
