Evil Empire (Yankees)
Hand-painted collectible baseball card
The New York Yankees, often referred to as the Evil Empire, made a great run in a strike-shortened '81 season... losing the World Series in 6 games to the Dodgers. It would be the Empire's last pennant for the next 15 years, until they returned to win the series in '96. The Yanks sent a league-high 6 players to the All-Star team in '81. I've used their matching '82 Topps All-Star cards, painted with Rage Against the Machine's Evil Empire album cover. The album was released in April of 1996, when the Empire began its return to glory.
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint gum stick art directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
Here's what you'll receive with this order
- My original hand-painted gum onto a baseball card.
- Each collector card is paint-marked with the number produced.
- These art cards are protected inside an Ultra Pro One Touch magnetic card holder... customized with my Rosen signature.
I'm maintaining a growing checklist of the cards I've painted for your reference. It details what cards are available for purchase, and which ones are owned by collectors. Collectors can reference my complete checklist.
