Hand-made collectible baseball card
Andrés Galarraga was no doubt one of the best players of his era. The 5x All-Star, 2x Gold Glove winner, and batting champion was nicknamed The Big Cat for impressively quick reflexes as a first baseman... in spite of his large frame.
The nickname originated in Venezuela, where he was simply known as El Gato. I've whimsically patterned the Hello Kitty logo for The Big Cat..
About my hologram collector cards
Upper Deck launched in 1989 as the first premium baseball card brand, using white glossy stock, fancy graphics... and holographic materials! So, I'm using my own holographic materials to re-design these vintage cards. The focus on these designs is repetitive pattern making, which conveys the massive overproduction of cards Upper Deck printed during the height of the boom.
