Pete Alonso (Coca-Cola Polar Bears)
Hand-painted collectible baseball card
In Spring Training, Todd Frazier told Pete Alonso, "You look like a big, damn polar bear." The nickname stuck. Noah Syndergaard later made it public, dubbing him “Pete the Polar Bear” after the Mets’ opening series win against the Nationals. I've decided to paint the most iconic Polar Bears in history from Coca-Cola.
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint gum stick art directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
