Rickey Sig (Holo Edition)
Hand-made collectible baseball card
Since Rickey likes to talk about Rickey in the 3rd person, I've multiplied the first name in his signature. This repeating holographic pattern is meant to convey the mass print production by Upper Deck at the height of the junk wax era.
About my hologram collector cards
Upper Deck launched in 1989 as the first premium baseball card brand, using white glossy stock, fancy graphics... and holographic materials! So, I'm using my own holographic materials to re-design these vintage cards. The focus on these designs is repetitive pattern making, which conveys the massive overproduction of cards Upper Deck printed during the height of the boom.
