Hand-painted collectible baseball card
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez got engaged in March of 2019. Not long afterward... J-Lo had the amazing opportunity to meet with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Lopez asked, "You had the most amazing marriage. What’s the marriage advice? Give me the secret, please! I need it.” Ginsburg replied, "I’ll tell you what my mother-in-law told me on my wedding day, which was, it’s good to be a little deaf sometimes.”
This piece honors some extraordinary women: J-Lo, and two leading figures of the feminist movement... Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933-2020), and artist Barbara Kruger (b1945).
RBG is depicted on the left, as commonly seen in other tributes, to convey liberal politics. Kruger is famous for using the Futura Bold Oblique font. Her iconic work has been misappropriated by streetwear brand Supreme. So, I'm using the font to pay homage to the late Supreme Court Justice.
Both cards sold as a set on Alex Rodriguez 2018 (#249) and 2019 (#90) Topps Archives.
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint bubble gum directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
Here's what you'll receive with this order
- My original hand-painted gum onto a baseball card.
- Each collector card is paint-marked with it's edition number.
- These art cards are protected inside an Ultra Pro One Touch magnetic card holder... customized with my matching Rosen signature label.
- I do not sign these cards by request. However, your package will include bonus items personally autographed by me.
