When the game's on the line and the temperature is rising, you bring in the closer to put the fire out. I've custom painted these fire extinguishers with baseball card design elements for each of these high leverage relievers. These dudes have ice in their veins.
The iconic stripes and signature from HOFer Lee Smith's 1982 Topps rookie celebrate MLB's 3rd All-Time leader in saves (472).
The unmistakable script and swoop from 1989 Topps is used for HOFer Dennis Eckersley, who enjoyed one of the most dominant stretches for any closer when helping the A's reach the World Series in three consecutive seasons... winning it all in '89.
Edwin Diaz's extinguisher is based on his 2022 Topps Heritage #80... with golden trumpets.
