Hand-painted collectible baseball card
There are legendary tales of Wade Boggs' ability to consume mass amounts Miller Lite. The legend was born when former teammate Jeff Nelson claimed Boggs could easily drink 50-60 beers on a cross country flight. Another teammate, Brian Rose describes sitting next to Boggs on a flight:
“I was sitting next to him on a plane and a flight attendant came by and gave him a case of beer,” said Rose. “He slid it under the seat and I was like, ‘What’s up with that? We only have an hour flight.’ He said, ‘That’s mine.’ Rose continued “The whole flight, we were just shooting the shit, and he went one beer after the other. I said to him, ‘I’m impressed with the way you hit, but I’m more impressed right now.’ He goes, ‘Yeah, beer doesn’t affect me. I don’t get drunk unless I’ve had at least a case and a half.’ I don’t think he even went to the bathroom.”
About my collector cards
After purchasing some old wax packs to study the size and texture of gum sticks, I developed my own paint techniques in order to replicate it. Now, I hand-paint gum stick art directly onto vintage baseball cards to create small collectibles.
Here's what you'll receive with this order
- My original hand-painted gum onto a jumbo-sized 5x7 baseball card.
- Each jumbo collector card is paint-marked with it's edition number.
- Unlike my standard-sized gum cards, these jumbos are signed by me (next to the edition number).
- These art cards are protected inside an acrylic magnetic desktop frame... customized with my matching Rosen signature label.
